Printing: Palm house work
With the last piece I put up on my blog I decide to use that piece and create something new. The piece here is a print of that palm house string work on different coloured pieces of paper and oil pastels. I then decided to create a collage out of the prints. I am quite happy with this piece overall as it shows that I can use a number of different materials. Also the colours of this work really stand out and are very appealing to the eye. However, the negatives of this piece are that it look all a bit crammed in to one page and it look like too much is going on at the same time. Overall this is a fairly successful piece of work.
Printing: Collograph palm house string work
This piece was completed by using string and double sided tape. Firstly I drawn the outline of the external view of the Sefton palm park house. After doing this I used the double sided tape and stuck it on all of my work. This lead to me then using the outline I drawn and putting string on it. this piece can now be used for printings and so on. I like this piece because it shows that I can use a lot of different materials and tools to create different pieces of work throughout the project.
Still Life: Final Piece
This is my final piece for the first project on still life. I used a limited pallet of paint to first of all create a background a and outline for the still life objects. I then went over this with chalk to give the piece more colour and liven it up a bit. I also made the piece look more 3D by using chalk. I like this piece because of some of the shapes and shadings. However overall for a final piece I am not fully happy with it and I know I can do much better. There are a lot of positives in this work however it is not an amazing piece as some of the colours stand out to much and some of it looks a bit flat. I look to improve in the future from this piece of work, and I can learn from my mistakes in the future.

Printing: Sefton Park Palm House Artist Research
On is page from my sketch book I looked at the artist Pierre Joseph Redoute. I used this artist as he did a lot of his work on plants, which relates to my project of nature and the environment. I like Redoute's work as it is very colourful. On the left side of this page I used the influence of Redoute's work and created my own work using coloured pencils and the style of Redoute's work. I will use Redoute as an influential figure in the future when creating more pieces of work on nature and the environment. Overall I believe this is a successful page in my sketch book as it shows I can use the influence of an artist to create my own piece of work. One thing different with my drawing was that I used a green outline with oil pastel. this added more colour and brightened up my drawing, I also believe it made the flowers stand out more and look more 3D.
Printing: Sefton Park Palm House Sketch book drawings
This is a page from my sketch book. I went on a trip with my art class to Sefton park palm house and took a lot of pictures and first hand drawings. With this I started a new product all to do with nature and the environment. On theses two pages I use the pictures I took as evidence that I went on the trip. I also attempted drawing the external view of the palm house with pencil. These two pages help me to get influence into future pieces on nature and the environment. I like these pages because they show I can use my own pictures as influence to do further drawing on the subject. I also like the line drawing of the palm house as it shows good shapes and it also looks 3D. However these pages are not very neat and just look like I have rushed them and this is a negative from these two pages.
